The third top ten matchup of Week One could serve as an attempt to revitalize one of the older (and bitter) rivalries in college football between Notre Dame and Miami. If you haven’t been able to check out the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary Catholics vs Convicts, it is certainly worthy of a watch.
That type of sensationalism was huge decades ago. Flash forward to 2025 and it may not even be worthy of becoming a viral post. So much of this rivalry and hatred stems from long term fans of these programs. If that energy pours into the younger generation of players and fans, then we all may be in for something special.
