NHL Playoffs: Dallas Stars vs Edmonton Oilers (Game Three)

The Edmonton Oilers are the last Canadian team remaining in the NHL playoffs. For those of you who are newer to hockey, I want to share a bit of knowledge that I have picked up in the past few years following the sport. This is a huge deal in Canada. So much so that much of the country is pulling for the Oilers to bring the Stanley Cup back north of the border for the first time since 1993.

Edmonton is now favored over Dallas to reach the Stanley Cup Finals after the 3-0 win in Game Two. The Oilers have taken home ice and that is critical when facing a Stars team that is 2-4 on the road in these playoffs. The expectations have risen in Edmonton.

No pressure!
