The unfortunate injury to Jayson Tatum marred some terrific and clutch play from the Knicks in game four. While the Knicks have the Celtics on the brink of elimination from these playoffs, the injury combined with a loss by the Celtics seems to have a much bigger impact on the future of the Boston franchise.
This Celtics team is not cheap to maintain and there are signs that it will need to be broken up sooner rather than later. This hits home even harder now that Tatum will be out for a large portion of the 2025-26 season.
