One of the fun things about the social media age that we currently live in are memes and GIFs. For popular NBA players, these things can go viral quickly and add to their brand and image. It is certainly fun… when you are winning.
However, the flip side of this coin is that when you have a popular schtick, it can come back to haunt you. This usually occurs when you lose or get embarrassed somehow. This is the situation with the T-Wolves and Warriors as trash talker (and walker) Ant Man hit a half court shot during warmups ahead of Game Four and did the popular Night Night pose which is attributed to Steph Curry. While this is all par for the course in the NBA, it also signifies a changing of the guard in the West.
Minnesota can officially send Golden State into Night Night mode on Wednesday and await the winner of Denver and OKC.
The question moving forward is, how much longer will we be able to enjoy watching a legend like Steph Curry lace em up?
